This week we are delighted to be playing 8 questions with Tijan, new adult bad boy romance books author extraordinaire. She'll tell us whom of her book heroes she would 'Kiss, Marry & Kill', which of her characters is most likely to bring about world peace, and who her favorite romance authors are.
Whom of your book heroes would you Kiss, Marry & Kill?
Kiss: Omg! I don't know. That's weird for me since they came out of my head. Maybe ... Mason? But I feel so bad about Sam.
Marry: I can't. I can't. I can't. Um, actually; I'd marry one coming up! He's the guy lead in a new mafia book I'm coming out and so and cliche to say, it's because he's not officially with that girl lead yet. Lol!
Kill: None of my book heroes, but villains.... ;) There's SO MANY!
Which one of your book heroines is most likely to a) bring about world peace b) rescue a puppy c) wake up not quite knowing where she is d) not gonna answer our questions, thank you very much?
Bring world peace: Shay from Evil, because she's half angel. And she'd do it by not even knowing she was doing it.
Get that puppy: Summer from Anti-Stepbrother, and Caden would be annoyed but then he'd be the one to train and take care of the dog. She'd get all the snuggles and kisses (from both of them.) AND Aspen from Rich Prick because she's that type of person. Very loving and kindhearted.
Morning disoriented: The new female lead in my next mafia, because that's sort of her life for a while. Readers will understand! Other than her, Riley from Bennett Mafia because that's related a bit to her life too if she's working or even if she's traveling with Kai. They go everywhere a lot. Or even Charlie from Teardrop Shot because that's just her. If she's traveling with Reese and not following where they're going, that's her.
Which secondary character of yours really deserves their own book, but was done dirty by you?
Um... Colton from Antistepbrother, but that's mostly because I just haven't written his book yet. And maybe Cord from Broken and Screwed, but in my defense that's because he never spoke to me! Before this year, I might've said Nate from Fallen Crest, but he's getting his book!
What would you like to see more in romance books?
I don't know, to be honest. Oh, maybe (and this doesn't really answer your question) but I've been scouring for some really great psychic romance books. I think I've read most of what is out there and would love to see more!
If you could retire one romance book trope once and for all, which one would it be?
I'm not answering this. Every trope is there for a reason. I'm a true reader at heart so answering this is like stomping on the readers who love that trope. Not happening! ;) I'm a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope, though. A lot! I need to write more of those.
3 romance authors you are secretly upset with because they are so darn good?
Ha!! Super jealous of Kristen Ashley, Jennifer Armentrout, and Helena Hunting. Those writers are just so amazing. Their skill level is phenomenal.
Which one of your books would you recommend to a new reader?
I'd recommend Enemies to a new reader!!
