In his first incarnation, Domitien's wife and unborn child are murdered. Dom swears never to feel such pain again. As the Creator sends Dom back to Earth time and again to learn love in another body, Dom refuses. Dom vows to have his true love back--whatever name she takes and whatever body she wears--and protect her from the enemy he'd failed to destroy so many years before.
