THEY WERE FAST APPROACHING SPINSTERHOOD, WITH NOT A BEAU BETWEEN THEM.

And no hope in sight, it seemed, as Misses Emeline Sedley and Andrea Prior rusticated in their cottage at the estate of Emmy's cousin, Lord Blakeney. With Valentine's Day upon them, Emmy turned Lord Blakeney's hunting party into a marriage mart, with almost everybody getting into the valentine spirit. Unfortunately, his lordship refused to play fair.

Even so, Andrea was forced to admit that the Lord Blakeney who had been a terrible tease as a child had grown up into a rakish and quite handsome libertine who still delighted in tormenting her--now with kisses that put all thoughts of his character out of her mind....
