Maggie awakes in the 21st century in the hospital with no memory, only the name Margaret, and three items: a gown, an odd ring, and an antique brooch. After donning all three items, she is hurled back to 18th century Scotland where a scarred, Highland chieftain, Liam Menzies, claims she is his wife.
