The Defiant Duke by G.G. Lacoste
The young Duke Raffin and Karen slowly but surely develop a strained relationship, which develops into a strong bond. The fun loving Duke is impatient in his lust for Karen’s body as he makes sexual advances and is very politely but firmly turned down. The Duke, on being turned down, then makes a pass at the would-be Lady Karen’s chambermaid and is quite successful. He enjoys an erotic time with the chambermaid.
Later the Duke weds Karen, and by virtue of her marriage she becomes the Duchess of York. But fate plays a big hand in their wedded life as The Duchess and the Duke fail to consummate their marriage the first night. The Duke gets drunk. The Duchess finding herself in heat opts to satisfy herself by indulging in love play with her chambermaid. But she craves the touch of her husband who leaves her untouched as he is called for duty as a naval officer. Then enters Karen’s phantom grandmother who gives her sound advice.
