Spring took its time coming that year. When it finally did arrive, summer was already hot on its heels. Good thing too, because the preceding winter had just about sapped Sara Darling of all that was left of her heart and soul. In fact, the past three years of her young life had been nothing short of a nightmare.

Having nothing left to keep her around but memories, she flies away on a jet plane to the first place that calls her name, Outer Banks, North Carolina.

Imagine her surprise when she arrives, and discovers that not only is she the first, but the only guest at Skylar's Bed & Breakfast. An establishment run by a local skirt chasing, surfer beach bum with a heart of gold.

At first she's apprehensive, but Sara doesn't stand a chance against the captivating singer-songwriter's Southern charm. When she meets his gorgeous friends, and fellow bandmates of the High Tider Rogues, she can't help but wonder if she has died and gone to Heaven.

All she wanted was a place to rest, a place to mourn her loss. What she got, was a whole lot of sexy sun kissed surfer, in the form of Skylar Dawn...
