Whiskey Awry by Jeanie Johnson and Jayha Leigh
There was Rho Beta Omicron Tau (RBOT), and then there were all the lesser sororities. While most sororities had swag, and RBOT had swag that belonged in the What the Fuck (WTF) Hall of Fame, the Bluegrass chapter of RBOT had a bunch of sorors who belonged in the WTF Hall of Fame. Leading the way to the hall was soror, Bourbon Berea.
Bourbon was an elite hunter, a world-class cellist, and a specialist in the art of delivering haymakers. Of course, she ended up delivering so many haymakers, because she never turned down an opportunity to tell someone to kiss her whole ass. Being she was two inches under six feet and ten pounds over two hundred, it was a lot of ass. She carried it off with panache. In fact, she did everything with panache, including being run off of a campus by an angry mob.
Cumberland Lexington was a big man, with a mouthful of name. While others might’ve felt they had a grievance with their parents about bearing a name that long, he was mum on the subject. Considering his daddy was named Wildcat, and his uncles were named Som’Bitch and Hazard, things could’ve been worse.
Cumberland was a man who enjoyed his normal. He was also a Lexington, so normal was in short supply. In his fourth year of residency, he is at the cusp of establishing a life befitting John Q. Public. All he needs is a wife, 2.5 kids, and a picket fence. And then he met Bourbon.
Bourbon was everything he spent his life avoiding. Bold, confrontational, and unapologetic, she was a first-rate shit-starter. But damn, if she couldn’t throw down on a fish fry, handle anything with a bow, and make running from a mob look good. Of course, she made everything look good that was wrapped around those lush hips and tempting ass.
Being she was everything a Lexington was known for, he decided—against all reason—that he may as well make it official. All he had to do was convince Bourbon…who semi hated him; her sorors…who collectively were hands down the most batshit crazy Greek organization in existence; and, her daddy…a big, grizzly of a man, appropriately named Grizzly.
