A New Day by Nancy Hopper
Tasha is a rich, spoiled young woman who is spending her summer on the Oregon coast with a girlfriend. She hasn't really ever known much love; her father is divorced and rather detached from Tasha. Her mother left without a word, when Tasha was very young. Tasha uses her father's wealth and the pain in her life as an excuse for her behaviors. She meets a new kind of man that summer; one that will not be manipulated or managed, despite her best efforts. In the midst of the challenge, all of Tasha's deepest, secret hopes and dreams come to the light of day for the first time -- and they just may be coming true! Yet, life has a way of always placing another challenge ahead of us. Tasha will have to dig deep to overcome her fears and shortcomings, but she really doesn't want to change. Can she find the strength to love, and trust again ... and forgive? Will she have the strength to deal with her past, renew her faith; then embrace the future? Or, will she hide behind her excuses?
