Britney Hart's fun-filled summer plans take a drastic turn when she discovers her mothers has abandoned her younger siblings. Rather than leave her siblings in the state's care, she gathers them together and treks across the country in search of a woman who might be their grandmother. What she discovers will change her life forever.

Sheriff Matthew Maxwell takes the law seriously in his small town. When he catches Britney driving recklessly, he slaps her with a ticket that turns into a month of community service. As he oversees her probation, Matt discovers that Brit may not be who he thought.
