Forgiveness: Sequel in the Choices series by Sheila Bliss
Forgiveness is a choice. You have to chose to forgive yourself just as you chose to forgive others. Why is it so hard? Why is it so easy to forgive others than it is to forgive yourself? And why do I have to do it every damn day? This is Todd’s story.
Picking up where Choices ended, we finally meet Brandon’s real father, Todd. Like Laurel, Todd is faced with a choice, but will he have the courage to chose forgiveness? Or will he give power to his addictions? A delicate love is hanging in the balance while he navigates his path of forgiveness vs. self-destruction. He struggles to forgive himself, something everyone he loves has already done, yet he can’t extend it to himself. Instead he constantly tortures himself for losing Brandon’s mother, Jenny. Will this new love be his savior or another reminder of a life he doesn’t think he deserves? Love waits patiently while he cultivates the courage to reach for a better life. The power of forgiveness is in Todd’s hands, but when confronted with a vicious enemy, will their lives be forever damaged? Will Todd let history repeat itself or will he save his new found family?
