Charming a Spy by Elizabeth Chance, Kathleen Lapeyre
When Katherine DuBois breaks into a military office in the middle of the night, she is not expecting to be caught by a veritable giant. Nor is she expecting that the enormous gentleman will kiss her so soundly that she almost forgets to run away. She most certainly does not expect that the man is none other than the Duke of Stamwell, rumored to be in London on a wife-hunting expedition. The last thing Kat wants is to be anyone’s wife! Unless…perhaps she can play the debutante, ensnaring the Duke just long enough to ferret out clues that might lead to her missing brother.

When the Duke hears Katherine’s outrageous proposition for his secrets in exchange for her seduction, he happily agrees. Not only does he want the stunning and saucy Katherine for his bedmate, he also wants to find her brother, a suspected traitor against England.

As both Katherine and the Duke attempt to coax one another into confession, it becomes less clear who is the charmer and who the spy.
