My Stepbrother and his Best Friend: Dear Diary

Blane. A fitting name considering he was the bane of my existence. Blane teased and tortured me for years, all throughout middle and high school.

Andrew. Blane’s best friend and my longtime crush. Together, the two of them ruled the school and had their choice of any girl they wanted.

As for me? I was just a loser who wrote down my deepest, darkest secrets in a diary since I didn’t even have a best friend to share them with.

Right at the start of our senior year, Blane and his mother show up on my doorstep and my world was changed forever. Apparently our parents met at a singles mixer over the summer and fell in love. They were planning on a fall wedding and insisted on joining the families together as soon as possible. Which meant that not only would Blane and I be stepsiblings, we would also be living under the same roof for at least a year. FML.

A few months after they move in with us, our parents leave Blane and I alone in the house for a few days and Blane invites Andrew over to stay with us while they're gone. At first, the idea of having my crush staying over unsupervised is like a dream come true.

Right up until the moment I discover that my diary is missing. And there's only one person who would've taken it.
