“What about you?” Arianna asked, looking over at him, confused.
“I can handle it. I’ve done this before” Steven said. Arianna nodded, closing her eyes, until she was shaken awake by Steven, who didn’t feel safe enough leaving her in the car. It took Arianna a few minutes to actually wake up; but, she finally did.
“Welcome back, Harvard, Steven. Delivery needs to be made to Codman Square” Mr. Boss said, tossing Steven a tiny brown bag.
Steven caught the bag, and then followed Arianna out.
“What’s in the bag?” Arianna asked, as Steven was driving.
“Do you really want to know?” Steven asked.
“No” Arianna answered. Steven parked on the nearest block of Codman Square.
“Stay in the car” Steven said.
“Steven, wait, I don’t wait to stay in the car alone” Arianna said. As Arianna looked around the dark alleyway, Steven could see her fear only intensify.
“Fine. Stay close to me” Steven ordered.
“Of course” Arianna said with a nod. Steven stepped out with Arianna close beside him, and a bit in front of him so he could see her.
“Sal” Steven called.
“Yo, Mr. Boss got my weapon?” Sal, a tall, olive skinned guy with dark black hair, and a thick Boston accent said.
“Yep, right here” Steven said, tossing Sal the bag, and then saying, “Let’s go” to Arianna, who nodded in agreement.
