Malik Bright’s life is going better than he could have hoped.

As a top student of the University of Washington’s architecture program with a promising internship at Seattle’s biggest design firm, Malik’s just about clawed his way to the top. All he has to do to land his dream job is finish his master’s degree and secure a new client for Alki Designs.

However, none of his training and education has prepared him for the challenges of working for Nathaniel Kerran, a handsome trust fund boy with a passion for civic development and enough genuine optimism to sway even the stubborn, cynical Malik.

As their collaboration spirals into an entirely different affair, Malik is forced to choose between who he is, who he needs to be, and who he wishes he could be.
