They were silent for a moment, each staring at the wall and sneaking glances at
each other. It was Emma who sheepishly broke the silence. “Maybe not full on orgy,”
she hedged. “But maybe, you know…”

Noah scratched the back of his head, a nervous habit. “I know a guy who swings.
I’d say that’s pretty adventurous.”

“Want to throw a party?” Emma blurted. “What a silly thing for me to say. Wow.”

“No, actually, it’s not bad,” said Noah, placing a hand on her hair and kissing the
crown of her head. “We’ve gone with sillier plans in the past.”

"Great!" said Emma, but before she could say much else Noah kissed her.

She didn't know if it was Noah or the thrill of their ambitious new plan, but there was as a
renewed tension to the way he ran a hand over her hip, the way he hovered above her
face without letting their lips touch. "We should make a list," she said breathily.
