Today, Tomorrow, Forever by K.A. Duggsy
Enola Elias suffered an horrific attack at the hands of her abusive ex James Stanwell. She was abducted, beaten and repeatedly raped at knifepoint.
Years later still physically and emotionally scarred, struggling with debilitating self doubt and trust and anxiety issues she attempts navigating through life again starting with a blind date that her best and only friend Kailan convinces her to try.
Her date is disasterous, she's plagued with nerves and the mystery man never even turns up. She's approached by a dirty blue eyed Mr. Gorgeous named Carey Cooper and eventually they hit it off but after Enola returns from visiting the rest room, Carey is gone, unleashing more of Enola's insecurities.
Carey is a private eye struggling with his own emotions after his mother’s death and fathers suicide, he's become unenamoured with life and is just going through the motions.
When they encounter each other again, their barriers begin to break and they take a chance on one another, Enola starts learning to trust her choices again and open her heart and Carey learns to feel again, to laugh.
Learning that her ex James is due to be released from prison unleashes painful emotions and memories of a past Enola is still trying to overcome.
Enola falls for Carey fast and freely and then he shatters the trust she gave him by researching her past. His actions inexcusable to her.
Carey knows that someone hurt her and the more he lets her in the more he has to know who was responsible.
Unbeknownst to them a mistake involving the victim notification scheme means that James has already been released and has been watching and waiting.
James is obsessed with Enola, to him she is property, property he owns and she needs to be reined in. He's the guy for the job.

Will Carey and Enola get their Today, Tomorrow, Forever?
