Mussels, Spuds & Rye by Kris Alison
28-year-old Olivia Wood lost her father, landed in a frightening pile of inheritance, and fled Australia on a one-way air ticket in the opposite direction of reality, spurred on by a whim to execute a girlhood dream.
Landing on Prince Edward Island, Canada's tiniest province, she sets about securing a decommissioned storybook lighthouse on the north shore, recently tossed out to public sale, along with 1,000 other beacons across Canada.
Drawn to handsome lawyer, Ryan, and the cute surfer/farmer come architect, Christian Bennett, who has direct ties to her new seaside home, Olivia tangles in and out of love, and the web that binds their tiny community. She quickly discovers that six degrees may separate the ordinary world, yet on sleepy P.E.I, the connections are one or two.
Mussels, Spuds & Rye is the first instalment in Olivia's assimilation to island life, and her journey to discover love and family for the first time.
