Love Won't Leave Me Out

Lena McQueen has given up on love after being betrayed and humiliated by her ex-fiancée, Anthony "Tony the Tiger" Douglas. Once he was arrested with his wife , Lena left him and fled from the DMV area. Leaving the city that she was born and raised in was the only recourse at that time. But, little did she know, once Anthony was released from jail and found out that Lena left him and the city, he put a price on her head.

It's now been four years. Lena has returned to the DMV area for two reasons. 1.) Her best friend is having her first child, and 2.) Lena accepted the promotion to become the Director of Programming for Black Box Office Network. On her first day back to the city, she’s reunited with her college love, Xavier Stevens (McDougal), the oldest of the McDougal Clan and her best friend’s husband's oldest brother.

Being home less than twenty-four hours, Lena couldn't believe she walked into a modern day romance novel. The fire and desire that used to blaze deep down within Lena is reignited on her encounter with Xavier.

Even though she's not looking for love, she tries to push it to the side, but Xavier needs her. The Lancaster Group is on the verge of making a decision to invest into his cruise line, but there's a problem; The Lancaster Group only conducts business with men who can balance a successful business and a happy family, so Xavier needs just that. When Xavier asks Lena to play his wife for a few weeks, the fire starts raging within. But before Lena can agree to this, she tells him who she really is; Lil' Lady, the infamous mistress of Anthony "Tony the Tiger" Douglas. Lena's confession adds fuel to Xavier's fire. He believes this arrangement would be the best thing for them both; she'll be protected from Anthony, and he can close the deal with The Lancaster Group.

But with Lena giving up on love, Anthony still looking for her and a business venture on the table, will Xavier's plan work, will he and Lena actually fall in love, or will the price on Lena's head be paid?
