Shelly Peterson is on the lookout for the man of her dreams. Having to watch her best friend fall in love and get married, she starts to feel lonelier than ever, and wonders if she will ever find her perfect match. She doesn't have a problem finding men to fulfill her basic needs, but they all lack that certain spark that she craves. Ever since her failed relationship with sexy fetish club owner, David Conrad, no man has been able to give her what she needs both in and out of the bedroom.

David has spent the last year flinging through countless hookups, desperately trying to forget that one special woman that got away from him. Even though it had been almost a year, the feelings that David had for Shelly never went away, which is why he always tries to keep his distance from her.

When he is expected to walk her down the aisle at his best friend's wedding, he hopes that he will be able to get through the whole ordeal, especially since he was told that she would be bringing her boyfriend as her date. Although he would give anything to have her back, he knew she would never forgive him for what he did to her. When Shelly strikes up a conversation with him at the wedding reception, he wonders if maybe his luck is about to change. Or is it?

Shelly misses the way that David used to make her body sing in pleasure, but is she willing to risk her unsheltered heart, and forgive him for his past betrayal? Can David convince Shelly to give him another chance to prove that he can be the man of her dreams?

This book can be read as a stand-alone, or after you've read Kat Nelson's, Sheltered Innocence.
