King Henry is the King of England during the Victorian era. He is loved by all for his strength, fortitude, resilience, solid leadership and fearless diplomacy with all of the foreign nations that would see England brought to its knees. He ascended to the throne when he was only fifteen.
He married in his early twenties, but his wife, Victoria, who he loved more than anything in the world died during childbirth, and the King has not allowed himself to seek comfort in any other woman since then.
Since the King has no wife, he has no heir. A Kingdom without an Heir to its throne can fall apart after the death of its King. As the King is in his 40's, time is running out for him to take a new wife and who can provide him an heir.
Enter the young, inexperience, Elizabeth, a common girl who is far from being of noble birth. King Henry takes a liking to her and offers to help her study, but the study session quickly evolves into something neither the King of England nor Elizabeth will ever forget!
