Rule No. 1- falling in love with the person you have been assigned to protect is a definite ‘no no’.
Rule No. 2 – if you break the first rule, prepare for trouble!

Samantha Deacon stamped her bare foot in frustration. Alex Raphel was the most chauvinistic man she had ever met and she would damn well do
her best to protect him whether he wanted her to or not. Now, all she had to do was stop daydreaming about him being naked.

Alex couldn’t believe that this 5ft 2” girl … no woman - she was definitely a woman, was going to protect his 6ft 1” body. Where was the muscle-bound ape he had ordered? How did he know at first sight that his carefully ordered life was never going to be the same?

But surely, it was much too dangerous a job for her. Surely, she could see that. At least she had a partner. Somewhere. Max was big and ugly.
He wasn’t going to analyze why both adjectives reassured him. He may as well, just sit down and hold on for the ride, cause it soon became obvious – Sam was not going anywhere.
