Sometimes our lives are so fulfilling, it’s difficult to fathom a life of sorrow and complete despair. Even when the mere thought creeps into our minds, the human survival instinct tamps it down as we would an overflowing trashcan, hiding its ugliness.
Just as we snuggle down under the protection of a down comforter and hide from the blustery winds of life, we’ll always hold tight to our comfortable lives. We simply lie there in the warm tranquility as the wind howls around the walls, where we take sanctuary from the clutches of its icy fingers.
If lucky...when rudely yanked from our downy, safe haven...we sometimes find peace and solace in the least expected circumstances and from the most unpredictable hearts.
