Werewolf Hunter 5:: San Antonio Protocol

Sandy's due date approaches and the pregnancy progresses. The Carringtons take a trip to America to film a movie and to announce Sandy’s pregnancy to both sides of the family in San Antonio.

Sandy’s best friend, Jennifer Carnes, known as Detective Carnage, arrives in England to fill the opening created by Sandy’s resignation from the police department. Romance runs wild between Jennifer and one of the West Mercia Police Department detectives, adding a new twist to the saga and revealing a very passionate side to a previously very reserved West Mercia detective.

A phone call from Italy leads Garrett and Sandy to charter a jet to Tuscany, but before they even arrive, Sandy uncovers a plot by the werewolf pack to kidnap and kill them both. With a black lace bra, a matching thong and a hand-held digital recorder, Sandy sets the stage to trick their captors. They cleverly make their escape from the doomed charter jet, which crashes in the Alps and kills everyone onboard.

While the world thinks that Sir Garrett and the famous Inspector Badass were killed in the downed plane, Sandy and Garrett move about Europe to track down and take out the werewolves who attempted to kill them. Their hunting trip is completely disastrous and out-of-control, forcing Garrett and Sandy to cut their losses and run. They return to England, using the reports of their death to conceal their whereabouts and activity. Sandy and Garrett set an elaborate trap for the kidnappers, requiring the coordinated efforts of the entire West Mercia Police Department, Police Scotland in Glasgow, a helicopter, and a blonde wig.

The twins are finally born! Later that summer, while Garrett is filming a WW2 movie in Germany, emotions run high as Sandy has the twins in a touching scene that shows a depth to Garrett that even he didn’t know existed. A second plot to kill the Carringtons rears its head, forcing Sandy to foil an attack while still in the maternity ward, attracting attention from the media in a sensationalized report of what really happened. When the werewolf enlists help and makes a second attempt a few days later, Garrett, Sandy and one of the newborns bring about an explosive end to it.

A well-kept secret about Detective Carnage is revealed and she runs away from the mess she’s made of everything, but love demands that she stay and start over. On a stone bridge spanning the River Severn – with a six pack of beer, a bottle of wine, and two guns – one very patient detective, trying desperately to keep what he’s grown to cherish, tells Jennifer all the crazy things that love asks for.
