Disowned by his family, talented Hunter Coats relies on his guitar to survive life on the cold winter streets. His struggles bring him to the town of Strong Bow, where he hopes he can make enough money busking Christmas carols to get to the warm, promising lands of the southwest. When a vicious snowstorm hits the town, Hunter seeks shelter inside the friendly Bluebird Cafe, where a surprising run-in with kindhearted owner Eddie Farris turns Hunter's world upside down.
