What a Tangled Wed by K.D. Harp
Evening gowns and tuxedos decorate a hall set for romance and ready for love so their eyes should’ve met across a crowded room
…but a stuffed partridge perched on her shoulder blocked his view.

Pierce Grayson 's worked hard to gain fame and fortune turning rubble into a fresh start for natural disaster victims around the world. He loves his work but success has its perks (and its price) and the billionaire inventor is assaulted daily by hopeful Mrs. Graysons who take the term "chained to my desk" a bit TOO literally, It's enough to make a man give up on finding a woman who could like him for who he is, much less love him.
…Just when he's resigned to a ho-hum marriage, Pierce is smitten by a woman so loyal, she's willing to humble herself in the World's Most Ridiculous Maid Of Honor Outfit for her impish little sis with an axe to grind.
Love is in the air and Pierce is off to a good start with talented muralist, Allison Stanford , but when he gambles their fledgling relationship to win a bet for charity, he messes up big time with her. Pierce admits he made mistakes, but he's not willing to lose her without giving it his best shot.
The man with a plan pulls out all the stops to create the ultimate fantasy apology date for two with no detail left to chance. Allison deserves the works ; limos, Lear jets & luxury dining. It'll be perfect weekend, a chance to make good and reset their affections, but Allison's the one woman he's met whose love can't be bought, and he's read her ALL wrong!
Fortunately for Pierce, her Mema takes a fancy to the lovelorn engineer. She decides he requires special education on women in general (and Allison in particular) before he can earn a second chance with her granddaughter, and suddenly the man who helps OTHERS for a living is in need of aid! The feisty granny teaches the multinational CEO a thing or two about negotiations, parlaying her brief tutoring session into a free, extended French vacation with ALL the perks.
(If Pierce and Allison were half as smart as everyone thinks they are, they'd just surrender to Mema's will from the start.)
When they don't, it's a wild, laugh out loud, ride on the romance train;
or, as Mema would say,
"trickier’n carvin' a turkey with three dogs underfoot".

Snuggle up and escape the craziness of modern life as you join Pierce and Allison while they navigate the insanity of theirs in this smart, clean, read suitable for all audiences who can tolerate a smooch or two and understand Mema Knows Best.
