This Beautiful Forever by Katy Baker
Nancy Ryder thought she had it all. A scholarship to a great college. A fresh start where she could escape the past. But more than this, she had rich, handsome, Connor Black by her side. Her prince charming. How could she wish for more?
But everyone knows fairytales aren’t real. She should have remembered that.
So when it all comes crashing down, Nancy finds herself back where she started. Back in St Clare where her past stalks. Back where she’s Nerdy Nancy, the geek. Back in the last place she wanted to be. And whatever it takes, she’s determined to forget him.
But Connor’s not ready to give up yet. He’s Connor Black, used to getting what he wants. And what he wants is Nancy. Can he find a way back for them? Can he convince her that she is his beautiful forever?

This Beautiful Forever is a 12000 word New Adult Erotic Romance short story. It contains sexual content and is intended for mature audiences only.

Read an excerpt:
My mom listens without interrupting. She sits in a chair opposite me at our little kitchen table and says not one word as everything comes spilling out. Once I start, I can’t stop. Words tumble from my lips, a barrage that makes little sense. Everything I’ve done, everything I’ve felt, everything that’s gone wrong, pours from me like water from a bottle.
And of course, there are tears. I shouldn’t cry over him. I shouldn’t. But I can’t help it. It’s like a flood gate’s been opened and I can barely get my words out over the debilitating sobs. At some point my mom hands me a box of tissues and I pull them out in thick wads.
The whole tale sounds ridiculous. It’s like some kind of Cinderella story and just as unbelievable. Nerdy Nancy, small town girl from a broken home, goes off to the bright lights of the city in search of fame and fortune. She meets her handsome prince, who against all odds, falls head over heels for her.
Except, unlike the stories, there is no happy ending. We didn’t live happily ever after. Instead, the real world intruded and our little fairy tale came crashing down. Nerdy Nancy’s dreams all went to hell. She should have known better, shouldn’t she?
