Tangled Web by Dawn Summers
The only way to cope with the tragic death of her husband five years ago was for Jessica Stapleton to leave her home, Woodside, and the village she’d lived in all of her young life. Now she is ready to return, sell-up and tie-up loose-ends. On advice that renovations to Woodside would improve the farm’s sell-ability, Jessica embarks on what starts off as a restoration project and turns into a labour of love.

Sparks fly the instant Jessica and Cameron Forrester meet. Neither can ignore the strong physical attraction between them yet Jessica wants nothing to do with her arrogant neighbour who is too quick to make negative assumptions about her. He has his reasons for wanting to buy Woodside from her; she has her reasons for refusing.

That summer Jessica re-news old friendships and is drawn back into village activities while she and Cameron can’t seem to resist each other despite a series of misunderstandings, these not helped by complications and deceitful dealings of the past which are slowly discovered.

Why had Jessica rushed into a marriage with someone she didn’t love who was twice her age? Was she the money-grabbing widow Cameron first assumed? Could the two lovers survive the tangled web of deceit and deception spun long before their first meeting?
