From Muffins to Matrimony (Mocha Marriages) by Jennifer Collins Johnson
Having finally found her estranged sister on social media, the last thing Liesel Martin expects is to learn she and her husband passed away in a car accident and left three children with a bachelor uncle. Deserting her job and home, Liesel travels to Kentucky to demand custody of the kids. Unwilling to give them up, but unable to care for them on his own, Kane Anderson proposes she care for the children and his house while he provides her room and board in a small cabin on his property. Liesel agrees since his proposal is the fastest and easiest way to gain access to the family she longs to know. Soon, she is given the opportunity to bake muffins for Paul Reynolds, the owner of a local coffee shop, for extra income.
She enjoys getting to know her nephew and nieces, and the community loves her muffins, which gives her more work than expected. Kane is kind to her and always willing to help kids or the muffins or anything she needs. She begins to fall in love with him. Then she learns of his past, and Paul asks her on a date. Will Liesel listen to her heart and accepts Kane’s past, or does a future with Paul make more sense?
