Bjarke has always had everything handed to him on a silver platter. Being the second eldest son of the great Yarl meant that he did not have to worry about titles and least of all marriage. But when he finds himself drawn to a woman he cannot seem to posses he stops at nothing to try to win her.

Dalla is no prize to be won. She is not a Yarl's wife in waiting. She is a shield maiden, as fierce as they come with a dark past that she thought was behind her.
