Deja and Damar: Love and Trap Music by Rio
Sometimes it takes a tragic event to bring soulmates together. This is one of those times.

Deja and Damar are childhood friends, and they have been secretly crushing on each other for as far as back as either of them can remember. Their mothers are best friends, which explains the family-like bond they've shared all their lives. Damar is the player type, and Deja knows how to use what she has to get what she wants. But soon her gold-digging ways gets her in a heap of trouble.

Like Damar, Deja is a part-time rap artist. Though nowhere near as popular as him, she manages to hold her own on the tracks she's recorded with him. She has her mind set on making that one big hit record that will get her to where she ultimately wants to be.

Then things go wrong. Terribly wrong.

During a fight with her boyfriend, an Indianapolis drug dealer named Raymond McBride, Damar intervenes on Deja's behalf and leaves Raymond dead in the recording studio where they had just moments earlier been finishing up a new song. The two of them flee Indianapolis and head for their hometown up north, hoping to escape persecution for Raymond's murder, only to end up being hunted down by Raymond's older brother and his crew of wild young goons.
