Lacking sufficient funds for the repair of his engine, Max reluctantly accepts a job to investigate and help the girl’s uncle, who has been accused of her murder. In working with the tribal police, Max falls for a woman on the force. She is twenty years his junior and a widow with two sons. During the process of his investigation, Max discovers a dark secret of the tribe and a darker side of himself he had not bargained for.
