Dr. William Struder is an up-and-coming pediatrician in his beloved Amish community. When his closest friends decide to open a pediatric wing in his hospital, William decides that he should be the new resident doctor to care for the Amish children. Part of his decision is made by the fact that he’s in love with a young nurse from the hospital, a kindred spirit who understands loss as he does.

Nothing is as it seems though, and he worries that his new love’s jealousy will ruin their relationship from the very beginning. Not understanding that her fears are valid, he puts the brakes on their romance until he can figure things out. A trip halfway across the world will test his feelings for his bride-to-be, as he’s given a chance to get to know his beautiful assistant better at the same time.
