Her once-friend Chloe has stolen her dreams, and it seems that love will never find Abby now. Devoting herself to her work, it is only God’s divine plan that finally changes things in the pretty widow’s life.
“See there? It sounds to me like Abby wanted Ted… and when she couldn’t have him, she settled for me,” Don said bitterly.
“I didn’t settle, as you put it, Don. I fell in love with you. I love you. That’s why I’m wearing this ring!” Abby exclaimed, feeling her happiness slipping away.
“I don’t know what I was thinking, putting that ring on your finger before discovering more about your past,” Don said, shaking his head.
“There is no past to discover, Don, except the truth that I have disclosed to you quite openly. I have held nothing back from you,” Abby said.
“I would like to call a halt to the wedding plans,” Don declared. “Until I am more convinced that I am making the right decision in marrying you.”
Dan Drummond is new to Montana, but at his first public foray, he meets the woman of his dreams in innocent and sweet Abby. After just a few weeks of courtship, he makes the decision to ask her to become his bride, knowing that she’s the missing piece to his heart. It isn’t until a beautiful stranger intervenes that he learns that his beloved fiancée may not be all she seems.
The rich and handsome newcomer must make a choice regarding who to believe and be prepared to live with the consequences of his decision. A wrong choice now could mean the end of his happiness, whether he marries a liar or loses a lover. It’s up to him to make the right choice, and he’ll need the help of Abby’s dear friends Cora and Mathew Forrest to solve this crisis.
