Wooing Cupid (Wooing the Gods) by Susan Lohrer
Valentine Arciere is the last person in Cupid's Hollow willing to stand up to Jupitropolis, the megacorporation about to bulldoze her hometown.

Vittorio Fulminare, head of Jupitropolis, has only one mission: convince Val to sign a buy-out deal so he can put up his new store. As the king of gods, Vittorio is used to getting what he wants.

If Val were a mortal woman, signing the deal would be the smart way to end the mess her beloved town is in. But to her alarm she learns she's descended from Cupid; her soul, the soul of a goddess, goes hand in hand with her land. If she doesn't sign the deal, people she's loved all her life will lose their livelihoods. If she does sign, she'll lose her soul to Vittorio.

It doesn't help that she's more attracted to Vittorio than she's ever been attracted to any man--and that she can't trust her feelings at all after her lovable but meddling grandma has shot her with Cupid's bow.
