Do you believe in destiny? Ariel Stone does not until she meets handsome deck and landscape designer Ben Hammer on a cruise ship. Ariel is aboard the Crystal Serenity redecorating one of their exclusive penthouse suites (Yes, this ocean liner has penthouses!) when she experiences a decorating emergency. Ben comes to the rescue leaving Ariel wondering how it is that he knows exactly what to do and has the equipment to do it. He refuses payment for the job so she invites him to join her for a drink. While together they make a promise not to tell each other anything about their personal lives, but instead to play a ‘game’ that Ben calls Destiny. “If it’s meant to be we will meet again,” he promises, for he has seen the wedding ring on her finger and she has overheard a phone call he had with his significant other. When the cruise ends, Ben returns to his life and his girlfriend, and Ariel returns to her husband and her life as an interior decorator, only to learn that her husband has been having an affair with her assistant, Katrice. Needless to say Ariel fires her and hires someone else. Without knowing that Ben owns the company, she accompanies her newly hired assistant to view a job by Paradise Dream Decks. As she is admiring the beautiful deck and landscape Ben appears and they fall in love all over again. But this time it’s different. Ben is engaged, and Ariel’s husband has left her for her assistant. To make matters worse she learns that Ben’s fiancée is her new assistant Laureen.
