Beachcomber Heat

This summer's heat wave on Martha's Vineyard is breaking records, but so is the crime wave. A rash of jewel thefts creates a demand for more security than the police can handle.
Shana insists that Beachcomber Investigations should take the case of protecting the would-be missing jewels because she needs the big fee from the rich client. Dane will do almost anything to keep her happy--and staying with him on the island. Almost anything.
The case turns dangerous when a dead body turns up and old enemies are behind the thefts. Dane has to decide how far he'll go to catch the thief--and how far he'll go to keep his partnership with Shana.
