Rosemary Pritchard has lost both parents. She lives with her stern grandmother who has sheltered her from the world. She wants to live on her own but she has no means to do it. She's also bothered by a conversation she overheard between her father and her grandmother. Will the secret she's heard be too much for her to bear?

Her brother sees that she needs help and he comes up with a drastic plan. She finds a husband through an ad and moves to Montana. The idea is exciting. Meeting new people, seeing new places. She can hardly believe how it's all working out.

Russell Arthur is a man on a mission. He's successful and driven. He's also ready to settle down. He's the youngest son and he'll inherit some land for his own ranch when he weds. He's not interested in any of the women Montana has to offer. He's pleased to find Rosemary.
