Alex has always had a crush on his friend Greg, so when Greg asks him on a week long hunting trip in the Eastern Sierras, Alex jumps at the chance to renew their friendship and visit the wilderness they'd learned to love together in college. But they are not alone. Bears and mountain lions are not the only dangerous creatures in the canyons and peaks of the Sierras: four criminals on the run have also retreated from civilization to try to live off the land. Soon, the sexual tension between Alex and Greg spills over to these four thugs, and Alex finds himself both attracted and repulsed by the men who surround him. Survival itself is at stake. The intentions of the fugitives are unclear, the winter snows are coming, and Alex must wrestle with his own growing and surprising feelings for not just Greg, but these four fugitives, unprepared for life in the wilderness. Soon, it is not only strange game that they hunt, but strange games that they play, as the situation turns ever more dire, and ever more charged with desire.
