Sea Salt & Chocolate by Lynn Townsend
Professor Temple Richardson-Hopkins and his husband Eric, along with their children, A.J. and Miriam, first seen in Building Us and continuing with their somewhat mitigated disasters in Cascade Failure, return for another misadventure. A thief at Temple’s workplace is getting him down, and Eric is exhausted from pursuing his college education. When offered an unexpected discount for a beach rental house, the family decides to vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Having kids makes it hard on Eric and Temple to maintain their relationship. Marriage is work, and these guys have more than their fair share of difficulties. That’s what makes spring break so rewarding; beach adventures, renewed intimacy between long-time lovers, kite-flying, and family fun. Until the very worst happens. As a gay, interracial couple in the Deep South, how will Eric and Temple deal with a parent’s worst fear?
