Girls left and right envied Brooklyn Cunningham. She was smart, rich, gorgeous, captain of her high school cheerleading squad, and one of the most popular girls in school. Above all, Brooklyn was hopelessly in love with Ace Warner, the talented and handsome star quarterback of the varsity football team. It was like her whole life had been spelled out for her. As fate would have it, after more than a decade, the pair's paths cross once more. But like the love they shared in high school, it seems as if every force of nature is determined to keep them apart. An untimely death triggers one scandal after another, awakening old wounds and creating new ones. In time, when all questions are answered, will their love be strong enough to conquer all?
