Handcuffed Between Love And Loyalty by Kimberly Whitlow
Popcorn Branch Jr. is from Portsmouth, Virginia. He was ten years old when his parents were both arrested and locked up on drug charges. Popcorn Jr., better known as Pop, was placed in a foster home with six other young boys, who were just like him, no mother or father around. Pop soon found himself in trouble with the law, and he did a few years in prison. When he came back home, everything had changed. He found out that his father isn’t the man he thought he was. His mother is missing in action, and no one seems to know where she is.
Rooster can’t be faithful to his girlfriend and the mother of his child to save his life. He sleeps around and doesn’t care who he hurts. He soon finds out that he needs a lot of water to put out the fire in Michelle.
Tracey Sheppard works as an undercover police officer. The man she is investigating is Pop Jr. When she meets him for the first time, she feels an attraction to him. When Tracey was ten years old, her sister, Angel, was killed by her drug-pushing boyfriend. When it was time for him to go to court, he beat the charges. It was then that Tracey decided to become a police officer. She wanted to help the women who were being abused, but what happens when she comes face-to-face with the man who killed her sister? Will she do to him what he did to her big sister ten years ago? Will she tell Pop he’s being investigated, or will she start a relationship with him?
