Light of Love by Ann B. Keller
All Franki O’Connor wanted was a nice quiet vacation at the old lightkeeper’s house on the shores of Lake Superior. She arrived in the teeth of a terrible storm. In addition, sometime during the night, an injured stranger pounded on Franki’s door and then collapsed into a bloody heap on her kitchen floor.

Perry’s head wound is severe. The handsome man can remember neither what he’s doing at the lighthouse nor why he’s carrying a pistol. Franki worries that she may be harboring a criminal. Still, when shots are fired, it’s Perry who comes to her aid. As the gunman becomes bolder, Perry can’t help wondering if he’s the real target or whether Franki will be the one caught in the crosshairs.
