In this modern-day Pride and Prejudice reimagining, Elizabeth Bennet - the youngest female judge in New York legal history - finds the out-of-court antics of hot-shot litigator Fitwilliam Darcy more than she can bear. Her sister Jane, senior associate at the firm of Collins, Bennet and Collins, is sympathetic, but preoccupied by trouble at the firm and by the attentions of Bingley, Darcy's partner. Meanwhile, at the Judge Advocate General's Office, Leiutenant Lydia Bennet is getting herself into trouble with a young officer called Wickham.
