Katherine's Secret: Mail Order Bride by P.W. Morgan
Cooper Dillinger is the president of a large manufacturing company and enjoys all the perks of life that could be found in Alameda, California in 1886. His family fortune hangs in the balance, he discovers, and all because he has remained a bachelor. The shareholders insist the president be a stable, married man without the drinking and gambling habits of the present man-in-charge.

Cooper is forced to be engaged within 60 days or the shareholders will force a turnover of the company to his younger, less adept brother. Cooper decides to get his bride through the new fad of ordering one from the East. He hopes for the best, despite the fact that the only answer to his ad is a pregnant widow from Virginia. Katherine Beaurigard is a smart, capable woman. Cooper instantly falls in love with her. But can he end his wild ways to win the heart of the beautiful woman from Virginia and be a good father and husband?
