The Color of Love - Season Two (A BWWM Romance) by H.M. Trey
What color is love and does the color of love really matter? For
Angela Simmons these questions are becoming rather complex. Angela
comes to the realization that she has fallen in love with Luke
Johnston, a white man. For most the idea of finding timeless love is
euphoric, but in Angela’s case this implausibly brings a level of
stress to her life that she has never yet encountered. Luke is that
ideal man that a woman can’t help but fall for. He treats her like she
wants to be treated and is attentive to her love language. You would
think that a woman finding a man that is willing to love her
unconditionally is a beautiful thing…right?

If only it was that simple for Angela. Luke’s skin color seems to be a major barrier to that
happily ever after that Angela would love to have with him. This becomes an inner struggle with Angela for she sees a man that is willing to give her the world but neither her mother nor the world
seems to want her to receive it. The fact that her mother has a hard time giving Angela her approval due to her own personal feelings and past hurts keeps watering those seeds of doubt that remain planted in
the back of Angela’s mind. The stress of her mother’s disapproval coupled with the fact that racism and bigotry continue to be alive and well leaves Angela second guessing whether being with Luke will ever
work. Will Angela allow for external factors to dictate who she loves or will she say forget what everyone else thinks and go after what’s in her heart? An ex-boyfriend that she continues to try to get out of her system, a mother that is stuck in her ways, and a society that has its own feelings about who should love who has Angela fearfully in love. Can Angela Simmons escape hear fears as she run into the arms of Luke Johnston?
