Set Me Free
by Casey Way
The closer Robert gets to retirement age, the more resigned to a life of loneliness he becomes. In a bout of miserableness he goes so far as to hire a young escort to… come to his house and eat Chinese takeout? Despite their odd first meeting, it doesn’t take long for Robert to become enamoured by Derek’s wit, and his athletic body. Soon enough, Robert finds he has become one of Derek’s regular clients.
But the more Robert gets to know Derek, the clearer it becomes that the man he’s currently with is abusing him physically and mentally. Even though Robert is well aware the relationship he has with Derek is pretend, he feels he has a responsibility to intervene. But how can he do that without being invasive or setting his abuser off?
However, Derek’s interest in Robert isn’t entirely fake. His boyfriend can see this too, but ending their relationship could put Derek in danger. He wants to do the right thing and leave his current partner, but he’s still financially dependent on him. Can Derek take the leap and trust Robert to catch him before he falls?

This book contains sexually explicit scenes, physical violence, domestic abuse, and references to eating disorders. It is stand-alone with a HEA. While there's no cheating according to the established boundaries of the relationships, do be aware that it does deal with the theme heavily.
