Once again, Ren faces disappointment when yet another person she loves lets her down. Her life has been hard, to begin with, but when she finds out all that she has ever believed is far from the truth, how will she cope? Nothing is as it seems and Ren is left wondering who she really is. Her past and present demons further complicate her already fragile relationship with Boss. Will Boss accept all of her, or will he let it go because Ren has too much baggage?

Boss has never loved another woman the way he loves Ren. Although he knows about her past and the life she chose to live based on the cards she has been dealt, he is determined to help her pick up the pieces and be the man she needs, but Ren does not make it easy for him. He goes to drastic lengths to protect her from anyone who wishes to cause her harm, but can he save her from herself?

Gotti and Boss have had an estranged relationship since finding out they both had dealings with Ren. Ren seems to be the root of their issues, but Gotti’s resentment of his brother goes much deeper than anyone realizes. After a shocking act of betrayal is revealed, will the brothers be able to salvage their relationship, or has Gotti finally pushed Boss too far?

Serena, Boss and Gotti’s mother, is hell bent on getting Ren out of the picture, but she really should be concerned about her own household. Her husband, Keyon, has an interesting reaction upon catching a glimpse of Ren. Does he know her? Is he keeping secrets too?

What’s done in the dark comes to light in a major way in the second installment of I NEED A BOSS IN MY LIFE.
