Meghan Blake has her hands full. She is concerned about her invalid grandmother as well as her dramatic and newly-engaged little sister. To add to her troubles, handsome business rival Geoffrey Wright appears unannounced at her Blake Industries office and refuses to sell the small family company she has been trying to obtain for over a year.

Determined to get her way, Meghan ignores her attraction to Geoffrey and strategizes to convince him to give up his pharmaceutical firm. When she learns that Geoffrey is the uncle of her sister's fiance, she realizes that her plan is more complicated than expected and she is unable to avoid his powerful presence in her personal life.
