THE BOYS OF DOZIER by Daryl McKenzie
There's something lurking the streets of Marianna, Florida. Some locals have claimed that they've seen the demonic spirits of the boys, who were killed at the now defunct Dozier Boys Home, hiding in the shadows. Then one by one the citizens become prey to a dark evil that leaves dead bodies in their wake. The gruesome killings soon become news headlines all over the country but it seems that nothing can be done to stop the carnage. The only hope of ending the murders lie with a young clairvoyant named David Jenkins, who knew the Boy's murderous plans but for fear of being thrown back into a metal institution had remained silent. But when the love of his life is threaten he's forced to act. A town that ignored the abuse in the Boys Home, and disregarded the introvert David as simply being a crazy person, now need him to save their town.
When twenty year old Angela O'Brien first laid eyes on David she immediately fell in love with him. He was shy but caring and other than his extreme good looks there was something else that drew her to him. It was as if he was her soul mate. Only when she is faced with the evil of the undead boys, and becomes a witness to David saving lives, does she start to understand why her unbridled love for this man was so strong, and necessary for her survival.
In this supernatural romance Daryl McKenzie tells a riveting story that is thought provoking and heartfelt, but is sure to be the most frightening novel of 2015.
