The Corporate's Wife by Max Hudson
Criminal Law.
Corporate Law.

Like Romeo and Juliet, their love is the source of major contention in both their lives. Two differing ideas on what helping people really means – is it fighting for the underdog, or the top dog?

A college affair.
Sixteen years ago.
It meant, and still means nothing, right?

Ricky’s life was turned upside down with the death of his wife almost eleven years ago. He still can’t seem to get back on his feet, regardless of how hard he tries. But it’s in the arms of another that he gets his most comfort. Coming to terms with the loss of his wife is one thing, but will Ricky ever be able to admit who he is before the one he loves is taken from him forever?

Ricky has responsibilities that have allowed him to hide under a rock and away from himself for too long. He buries his feelings in alcohol, filling his nights with case files and calls with his son. But when your world is falling apart, and there’s no one left to pick up the pieces, who can you turn to, who will make everything feel okay? Sometimes there’s only one person who can do that for you. And sometimes it’s the wrong person. But will Ricky’s ‘piece picker’ pull through in the end? Or will it simply fall flat, leaving Ricky to deal with grief, confusion, and sexuality feeling totally alone, hung out to dry, and totally forgotten altogether?

Please Note: This book contains some sexually explicit scenes & may contain course language, it is intended for 18+ Adults Only. This is a novella, approx. 30,000 words in length. It has a HEA (happy ever after ending) & does not end with a "cliffhanger".
